Diligent in his business |
| Pro.22.29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. | ![]() |
I looked upon it |
| Pro.24.18 Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him. Pro.24.32 Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction. Pro.25.7 For better it is that it be said unto thee, Come up hither; than that thou shouldest be put lower in the presence of the prince whom thine eyes have seen. |

A man that is hasty in his words |
| Pro.26.12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him. Pro.29.16 When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall. Pro.29.20 Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him. |

Vexation of spirit |
| Eccl.1.10 Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us. Eccl.1.14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit. |

His soul enjoy good in his labour |
| Eccl.2.3 I sought in mine heart to give myself unto wine, yet acquainting mine heart with wisdom; and to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was that good for the sons of men, which they should do under the heaven all the days of their life. |
Eccl.2.13 Then I saw that wisdom excelleth folly, as far as light excelleth darkness. Eccl.2.24 There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God. |

A man should rejoice in his own works |
| Eccl.3.10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. Eccl.3.16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there. Eccl.3.18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts. Eccl.3.22 Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him? |

The evil work that is done under the sun |
| Eccl.4.3 Yea, better is he than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun. Eccl.4.7 Then I returned, and I saw vanity under the sun. |

The oppression of the poor |
| Eccl.5.8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they. Eccl.5.13 There is a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt. Eccl.5.18 Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion. |

Though he live a thousand years |
| Eccl.6.1 There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men: Eccl.6.5 Moreover he hath not seen the sun, nor known any thing: this hath more rest than the other. Eccl.6.6 Yea, though he live a thousand years twice told, yet hath he seen no good: do not all go to one place? |

Wisdom is good with an inheritance |
| Eccl.7.11 Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun. |
Eccl.7.15 All things have I seen in the days of my vanity: there is a just man that perisheth in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man that prolongeth his life in his wickedness. | ![]() |

Business that is done upon the earth |
| Eccl.8.9 All this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the sun: there is a time wherein one man ruleth over another to his own hurt. Eccl.8.10 And so I saw the wicked buried, who had come and gone from the place of the holy, and they were forgotten in the city where they had so done: this is also vanity. Eccl.8.16 When I applied mine heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done upon the earth: (for also there is that neither day nor night seeth sleep with his eyes:) |

The race is not to the swift |
| Eccl.9.11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. Eccl.9.13 This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me: |

I have seen servants upon horses |
| Eccl.10.5 There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler: Eccl.10.7 I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth. |

O my dove |
| Song.2.14 O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely. |

Saw ye him whom my soul loveth? |
| Song.3.3 The watchmen that go about the city found me: to whom I said, Saw ye him whom my soul loveth? |

My undefiled is but one |
| Song.6.9 My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her. Song.6.11 I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, and to see whether the vine flourished, and the pomegranates budded. Song.6.13 Return, return, O Shulamite; return, return, that we may look upon thee. What will ye see in the Shulamite? As it were the company of two armies. |

Let us get up early |
| Song.7.12 Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves. | ![]() |
