| Romans | 1Corinthians | 2Corinthians | Notes |

At this time will I come

Rom.9.6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
Rom.9.9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.

Faith cometh by hearing

  Rom.10.8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
Rom.10.17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Rom.10.18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

Make the Gentiles obedient

Rom.15.18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,

Fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple

Rom.16.18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

To preach the gospel

1Cor.1.17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

In demonstration of the Spirit

1Cor.2.4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
1Cor.2.13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

The kingdom of God

1Cor.4.20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

To one is given by the Spirit

  1Cor.12.8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

Yet in the church

1Cor.14.9 So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.
1Cor.14.19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
1Cor.14.36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?

God is true

2Cor.1.18 But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay.

In the sight of God

2Cor.2.17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

Renounced the hidden things

2Cor.4.2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

God was in Christ

2Cor.5.19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

The armour of righteousness

2Cor.6.7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

Let such an one

2Cor.10.11 Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.

Caught up into paradise

2Cor.12.4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

Two or three witnesses

2Cor.13.1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.
