Behold the handmaid of the Lord |
| Luke.1.2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; Luke.1.20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season. |
Luke.1.38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. | ![]() |

His word was with power |
| Luke.4.4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Luke.4.22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son? Luke.4.32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power. Luke.4.36 And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out. |

| Luke.5.1 And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, Luke.5.5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. |

Now the parable is this |
| Luke.8.11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Luke.8.12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. Luke.8.13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. |
Luke.8.15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. Luke.8.21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it. |

| Luke.12.10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven. | ![]() |
They watched him |
| Luke.20.20 And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor. Luke.20.26 And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace. |

A prophet mighty in deed and word |
| Luke.24.8 And they remembered his words, Luke.24.11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not. Luke.24.19 And he said unto them, What things?
