A priest with Urim and with Thummim |
|||
| Ezra.1.6 And all they that were about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, beside all that was willingly offered. Ezra.2.63 And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim. |

Artaxerxes king of Persia |
|||
| Ezra.7.1 Now after these things, in the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Ezra the son of Seraiah, the son of Azariah, the son of Hilkiah, Ezra.7.27 Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem: |

They have not separated themselves from the people |
|||
| Ezra.9.1 Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites. |
Ezra.9.3 And when I heard this thing, I rent my garment and my mantle, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down astonied. | ![]() |

We have taken strange wives of the people of the land |
|||
| Ezra.10.2 And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answered and said unto Ezra, We have trespassed against our God, and have taken strange wives of the people of the land: yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thing. |
Ezra.10.13 But the people are many, and it is a time of much rain, and we are not able to stand without, neither is this a work of one day or two: for we are many that have transgressed in this thing. | ![]() |

They laughed us to scorn, and despised us |
|||
| Neh.2.19 But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn, and despised us, and said, What is this thing that ye do? will ye rebel against the king? Neh.6.8 Then I sent unto him, saying, There are no such things done as thou sayest, but thou feignest them out of thine own heart. |
Neh.6.16 And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God. Neh.7.65 And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim. |

Thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, and all things |
|||
| Neh.9.6 Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee. | ![]() |

They sanctified holy things unto the Levites |
|||
| Neh.10.33 For the showbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God. |
Neh.12.47 And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, every day his portion: and they sanctified holy things unto the Levites; and the Levites sanctified them unto the children of Aaron. |

Him did outlandish women cause to sin |
|||
| Neh.13.17 Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day? |
Neh.13.26 Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin. | ![]() |

Vashti |
|||
| Est.2.1 After these things, when the wrath of king Ahasuerus was appeased, he remembered Vashti, and what she had done, and what was decreed against her. Est.2.3 And let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather together all the fair young virgins unto Shushan the palace, to the house of the women, unto the custody of Hege the king's chamberlain, keeper of the women; and let their things for purification be given them: Est.2.4 And let the maiden which pleaseth the king be queen instead of Vashti. And the thing pleased the king; and he did so. |
|||
To go in to king Ahasuerus |
|||
| Est.2.9 And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness of him; and he speedily gave her her things for purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven maidens, which were meet to be given her, out of the king's house: and he preferred her and her maids unto the best place of the house of the women. | Est.2.12 Now when every maid's turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women;) Est.2.22 And the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it unto Esther the queen; and Esther certified the king thereof in Mordecai's name. |

| Est.3.1 After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him. Est.5.11 And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king. Est.5.14 Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and to morrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made. |
|||
Mordecai wrote these things |
|||
| Est.6.13 And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him. | Est.8.5 And said, If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king's provinces: Est.9.20 And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both nigh and far, |

Grant me the thing that I long for |
|||
| Job.3.25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. |
Job.4.12 Now a thing was secretly brought to me, and mine ear received a little thereof. Job.5.9 Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number: Job.6.7 The things that my soul refused to touch are as my sorrowful meat. Job.6.8 Oh that I might have my request; and that God would grant me the thing that I long for! Job.6.30 Is there iniquity in my tongue? cannot my taste discern perverse things? Job.8.2 How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind? |

In whose hand is the soul of every living thing |
|||
| Job.9.10 Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number. Job.9.22 This is one thing, therefore I said it, He destroyeth the perfect and the wicked. Job.10.13 And these things hast thou hid in thine heart: I know that this is with thee. |
Job.12.3 But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these? Job.12.10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind. Job.12.22 He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death. |

Are the consolations of God small with thee? |
|||
| Job.13.20 Only do not two things unto me: then will I not hide myself from thee. Job.13.26 For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth. Job.13.28 And he, as a rotten thing, consumeth, as a garment that is moth eaten. Job.14.4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one. |
Job.14.19 The waters wear the stones: thou washest away the things which grow out of the dust of the earth; and thou destroyest the hope of man. Job.15.11 Are the consolations of God small with thee? is there any secret thing with thee? Job.16.2 I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are ye all. |

He cutteth out rivers among the rocks |
|||
| Job.22.18 Yet he filled their houses with good things: but the counsel of the wicked is far from me. Job.22.28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. Job.23.14 For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him. |
Job.26.3 How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is? Job.26.5 Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof. Job.28.10 He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing. Job.28.11 He bindeth the floods from overflowing; and the thing that is hid bringeth he forth to light. |

The mountains is his pasture |
|||
| Job.33.29 Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man, Job.33.32 If thou hast any thing to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify thee. Job.37.5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend. |
Job.39.8 The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing. Job.41.30 Sharp stones are under him: he spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire. Job.41.34 He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride. |

Ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right |
|||
| Job.42.2 I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee. Job.42.3 Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not. Job.42.7 And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath. |
Job.42.8 Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job. | ![]() |
